An IT logistics system for the Defense Forces was launched in Ukraine - head of CPK Shabunin

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has unveiled an IT logistics system for the Defense Forces, built upon the functionality of the German company SAP. This announcement was made by Vitaly Shabunin, Chairman of the board of the Anticorruption Center.

According to Shabunin, the military now possesses a high-level logistics IT system, a response to the public criticism directed at former Defense Minister Reznikov.

Shabunin explained, "In August 2022, during the Central Committee session, we publicly criticized Reznikov for his failure to provide the Defense Forces with an IT logistics system (which the Russian Federation had implemented long before). We had to bring this information to the public domain because Reznikov ignored our private concerns for months" as stated by the former Defense Minister Reznikov.

As the CPK head stated, due to corruption scandals in tenders, Reznikov's army is now "beginning to receive proper purchases," albeit with a seven-month delay.

Regarding the SAP system, Shabunin clarified, “This is a top-tier system and is not currently in use at the brigade level and below. The implementation of the logistics IT tool at lower levels is currently underway”.

Already in November 2023, the Ministry of National Defense announced the implementation of an automated defense resources management system within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, based on the System Analysis Development Program (SAP).

The department emphasized that SAP is a leading global system in the logistics domain, and its introduction should lead to the abandonment of paper document circulation in logistics operations.
