ECherha also applies to passenger transport: how to register

At the "Yagodin - Dorohusk" checkpoint, service tests of the "eCherha" passenger buses will begin. During the test period, the service will not offer a check-in time. Drivers should only register in the system. Later, the service will be extended to all other checkpoints.

The waiting time at the border will not change

From July 31, Ukraine will start testing the electronic queue for crossing the border by buses at the Yagodin-Dorogusk border crossing.

To cross this crossing from August 1, drivers or logistics will have to register the bus in the "eCherha" system and actually get to the border at the time specified in the route.

Deputy Minister of Development of the Municipality, Territories and Infrastructure, Serhiy Derkacz, stressed that the launch of "eCherha" for buses is part of the reform of international passenger transport aimed at ensuring passenger comfort.

According to him, in parallel with the launch of this project, international routes will be verified.

"We are canceling routes that are not working. We are negotiating with neighboring countries on the speed of work of customs and border services, so that passengers do not spend hours in queues at the border, and the process is predictable," Derkach said.

He also emphasized that during the test period, the waiting time for crossing the border will not change, because it is only about launching a new service.

After all processes are set, passenger bus queues in front of border crossings should disappear, and thus, bus transport will be carried out exclusively according to "eCherha"

The service will only apply to scheduled buses

The Ministry of Development of Municipalities, Territories and Infrastructure reminds that every international route includes: time of starting traffic, time of crossing the border and reaching the final destination. Unlike the online queue for trucks, the service for buses during the test period will not offer an arrival time at the checkpoint. This means that drivers only need to register in the system and appear at the checkpoint at the time specified by the bus route.

It is planned to use the test period of the service to refine all the technical nuances of the new service for passenger carriers.

“Currently, in addition to registration, drivers also have the option of delaying or canceling queues, changing drivers and vehicles. In addition, the team will also develop the ability to slot and select a specific time of arrival at a checkpoint, so that the service is convenient for those who cross the border on irregular routes." – emphasized Anatoly Komirny, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitization.

Registration for "eCherha" for buses will be possible only on the echerha.gov.ua website from July 31.

To book a place in the queue, click "Join the queue" and select "Bus", fill in all the necessary fields and confirm the entry.

Recall that since December 12 last year, an electronic queue for trucks has been operating in test mode at the Yagodin - Dorogusk crossing. In May, the service was made available at 16 border crossings.

From August 1, the YeKordon service will start operating in Ukraine.

Recall that the Ukrainian government has extended the eKordon project from an electronic border crossing to passenger cars and buses. This was announced during a government meeting by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“We are building new logistics and have already launched an electronic queue for road freight transport. And today we approve a resolution that extends the operation of the electronic queue to passenger cars, as well as buses carrying out passenger transport, to reduce queues at the border and make its passage more comfortable. The pilot bus project will start in August" said the Prime Minister.

The "eKordon" project allows you to register in advance in the queue, quickly go through the formalities at the border, and not stand at the border for several days.
