Clouds of black smoke have been hovering over the building of the occupation authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic for several dozen minutes. A meeting of representatives of the region's highest authorities was to be held in the building.

The first recordings of the fire appeared on Ukrainian social media channels just after 2 p.m. Journalist Denys Kazanski was the first to report the explosions.

Russian Aggression. A powerful attack in Donetsk

According to information provided by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, the Ukrainian military fired three MLRS missiles towards the building.

The bullets allegedly hit the roof of the building, parts of which were scattered on the surrounding roads. There is currently no information about any casualties or injuries.

- As a result of shelling in the center of Donetsk, civilian infrastructure was breached. According to our information, there are no fatalities or injuries, Pushilin said in a short recording published on social media several minutes after the attack.

Attempt to liquidate the occupation authorities

A few hours before the attack, the official profile of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic reported a meeting of representatives of the highest authorities of the occupied region.

"Acting head of the DPR Denys Pushilin at an operational meeting with the chairman of the DPR government Yevgeny Solntsev, heads of executive authorities, heads of cities and districts, discussed a number of topics, including renovation works, road repairs, social issues, etc.," it said.
