A judoka from Nikopol won a gold medal at competitions in Europe

Despite the war, Ukrainian athletes continue to go to European and world championships. Once again, the athletes of our country show outstanding results in various sports. This became known from the press service of the executive committee of the Pokrovsk city council.

At the end of July, the European Youth Olympic Festival finished in Slovakia. At it, Ukraine was presented by the national judo team, which included Elizaveta Lytvynenko from Pokrov. In total, athletes from 21 countries of the world fought for the title.

Elizaveta confidently conducted all the meetings and won the gold of the European Youth Olympic Festival. In general, the Ukrainian team won silver at the competition, judokas won 6 awards.

We would also like to remind you that Ukrainians liberated 50 towns and villages from the Russian occupiers in the Kherson region.
