The Russian military carried out massive rocket fire on many cities in Ukraine on the night from Thursday to Friday. Authorities in Kharkiv reported that one person was killed and eight were injured in the attack. There are also victims in Kyiv and Lviv.
The head of the Kharkiv regional administration, Oleh Synehubov, said that a 35-year-old man died as a result of the Russian attack. At least eight people were injured. As a result of the shelling, a hospital, residential buildings, and an industrial plant were destroyed.
In Kyiv, fragments of a Russian target (the city authorities did not specify whether it was a missile or drone) fell in two districts, and a fire broke out in a skyscraper. At least seven people were injured.
The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozicki, announced that a fire broke out in a high school in Lviv. "Lviv. Loud. According to preliminary information, a residential building was hit. There are injuries. A fire broke out in one of the city's high schools, probably due to the fall of rocket fragments," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
Anti-aircraft alarms sounded throughout Ukraine. Earlier, Ukrainian portals reported that explosions could be heard in several cities, including Kyiv, Zaporozhye, and Dnieper, during the Friday morning air raid alert.

The head of the military garrison in Kharkov, Serhiy Melnyk, said that the Russians struck with Kh-22 missiles and also fired at the city with S-300 air defense systems.
The attacked towns include Konotop in the Sumy Oblast, a town occupied by Russian troops in February 2022, and then, from April 2022, again controlled by the Ukrainian side.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported on the night from Thursday to Friday that nine Tu-95 strategic bombers carrying missiles took off from the Olenia airport in the Murmansk Oblast in Russia.
