Refugees from near Nikopol fled from terrorist attacks by Russian troops. They live in a sanatorium and dream of their own house - the large Andronovy family came to Cherkassy from the city of Marganets in the Dnipro region. How do they live as a large family and do they plan to stay in Cherkasy region, Suspilne asked.

There are nine children in the family - two Karinas, Diana, Danya, Artem, Sashko, Lyera, Dima and Veronika. The youngest pupil is six years old, the oldest is 16.

They decided to move to Cherkasy when the city began to be actively shelled, said Yevhenii Andronov's father. During the day, they gathered the most necessary things and set off.

"Our city is small, there were two large, serious shellings in the center. Three shells hit a hospital and a kindergarten. They started shooting at the civilian population," the man recalled.

Now their house in their native Marganka was damaged by rockets. The once cozy house remained only on video.

In Cherkasy, the family settled in one of the sanatoriums. Eleven-year-old Valeria showed journalists her favorite toy. This is the only thing she managed to take with her:

"I took her because I love her very much. I want to go home, and I want to stay in Cherkasy, because it is very beautiful here."

Finding a house for such a large family is immediately difficult, explained mother Iryna Andronova. So now they are huddled together in the same room. There is no personal space here, and 10 other people live nearby.

"Our children are all different in age and character, and it is not very convenient for people and for us. Some get up in the morning, some at lunch - everyone has their own rhythm of life. We want to move sooner, not because something here is not yes, there are nice people here, but we don't feel comfortable in the same room all together," the woman explained.

Children are not bored, everyone is looking for something to do for their soul. Thirteen-year-old Karina said that she is calmer now:

"When I heard that a bomb fell near our house, I was very scared, but when we moved here, it became much calmer."

Eleven-year-old Veronika, like her mother, dreams of her own home.

"I am grateful that we were admitted to this sanatorium, but I wish we had a separate house so that we could play, because people here have different personalities: children, young people. I don't miss home, I like it here: there is a place to go out for a walk , you can make new friends, there are playgrounds."

Housing options are considered not only in Cherkasy, but also in neighboring settlements, noted Iryna Andronova. Realtors help with the search, but this is not enough, she explained. Because there are no suitable options yet.

"We are appealing to all concerned people, to the Children's Service. It may be possible to provide housing for displaced persons, a family-type house. We need housing for nine children and two adults. If it is free of charge, we will be very grateful." - said the woman.

If they do not find a free house, they are ready to rent it. Everything else: the family has food, clothes and toys. So if they solve the issue with housing, they will be the happiest, Ms. Iryna added:

"I want to live a stable life, which we have lived up to this moment. Anything can happen, I am 61 years old, my husband is 63, and the children have not seen life yet, they are still very young."

The Andronov family shared that they see their future in Cherkasy in their own home under a peaceful sky.

We remind you that the Russian terrorists who took over the NPP are shelling the cities of Nikopol, Marganets and nearby villages every day.
