Polish mercenaries fought in the Belgorod region. "It was an honor for our branch"
The Polish Volunteer Corps, a mercenary unit fighting as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, officially confirmed its participation in the operation in the Belgorod region. They carried out the mission together with Russian mercenaries.
The report from the entry into the territory of the Russian Federation appeared on the official Telegram channel of the corps.
Earlier, on May 22, at the time of the first signals about the entry of mercenaries of the “Freedom of Russia” Legion into the territory of Belgorod Oblast, a short message appeared in which “information about the situation” was announced.
“Everyone asks us one question, did we take part in the operation in the Belgorod region… The answer is unequivocal, of course yes!” — we read in the latest entry.
“The Polish Volunteer Corps took part in the combat task together with the Russian Volunteer Corps. We are connected not only by the ties of brotherhood in arms, but also by personal friendships and camaraderie” – added. The communiqué shows that Polish mercenaries took part directly in the fighting. Fortunately, no one was killed, and all tasks were completed.
“The first assault group of the Corps took action. Everyone returned from the task safe and sound. The assigned task was successfully completed. We can indicate that we were the first, together with one of the RDK battle groups, to reach the destination” – it was emphasized.
Polish mercenaries on the side of Ukraine
The Polish Volunteer Corps is the first unit within the Ukrainian Armed Forces composed exclusively of Poles. His formation was announced in February, and the first information about the exercises appeared a month later.
At the moment it is known that volunteers from our country take part in missions in which the forces of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Legion “Freedom of Russia” are also involved. In May, the mercenaries informed about their participation in tasks in the direction of Zaporozhye and Bachmucki.
