Why Netflix cancels 'The Couple'

Netflix has canceled the comedy The Couple, starring Neil Patrick Harris. The series premiered in July to positive reviews. Neil Patrick Harris plays real estate agent Michael Lawson, whose life is turned upside down when his 20-year relationship ends unexpectedly.

He is a successful real estate agent from New York with a great career, a supportive family, close friends and a love relationship with his partner Colin (Tuck Watkins). But when Colin unexpectedly moves out on the eve of his 50th birthday, Michael is completely stunned.

Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Emerson Brooks and Marcia Gay Harden co-starred with Harris.

According to Variety, Singles failed to attract viewers, even with positive reviews from both critics and the public. Although on streaming platforms, the series scored 73% of the views from other popular series.
