The Russians are effectively destroying the infrastructure, including the possibility of external energy supply for the ZNPP. This poses a very serious threat, since the resource of diesel generators is limited both by itself, by the service life, and by the fuel supply. If the blackout continued, the risks would seriously increase. Now, the power supply has been restored. The risks will remain until the occupiers are driven out.

Lytvynskyi explained that a possible hit of a Russian missile in the reactor unit of the ZANP will lead to an accident on a global scale, since nuclear plants of this generation are not designed for missile strikes.

They were not built, they were not designed based on the fact that military operations can be carried out on their industrial sites. Therefore, the threat remains, the threat is serious. Another thing is that the more time passes from the moment the units are put into cold stop mode, the smaller the scale of accidents will be. However, even in today's state, a missile attack on a nuclear power unit will lead to an accident on a global scale.
