Ukraine repelled a night air attack by the Russians. All missiles and drones flying to Kyiv were shot down by anti-aircraft defenses, Ukrainian authorities said.

“According to preliminary information, no air target has reached the capital. Air defenses have destroyed everything that was flying towards the city and at a great distance from it” the head of the military administration, Serhiy Popko, wrote on Telegram.

The anti-aircraft alert in Kyiv in the night from Saturday to Sunday was in effect for more than 3 hours. Residents described hearing a series of explosions. However, they were supposed to take place outside the city – reports the Reuters agency.

According to the Ukrainian media, explosions occurred overnight in Kryvyi Rih in southern Ukraine, near the town of Kropyvnytskyi in the central part of the country and the Sumy region in the northeast.
