Dnipro: The EU is looking for a local program assistant for the ECHO office in Dnipro

The European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) is looking for national staff to work in Dnipro. This is a local position open to citizens and other residents of Ukraine with valid work and residence permits.

ECHO finances humanitarian actions for victims of natural disasters and conflicts outside the European Union. The Commission works with around 200 operational partners, including United Nations agencies, the Red Cross/Crescent Movement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to deliver humanitarian aid.

The selected applicant will carry out activities contributing to the provision of effective humanitarian aid and the assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of projects, as well as to the analysis of the humanitarian context in the program area.

The monthly base salary averages around $2,930, which is equivalent to five years of work experience. The applicant should also demonstrate good knowledge of the EU humanitarian aid system, international non-governmental organizations, UN aid agencies, and the Red Cross Movement and excellent knowledge of English, Ukrainian, and Russian.

The application deadline is March 29.
