Russia bears responsibility for the kinetic attacks on and around the captured Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, although it tries to blame Ukraine. This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War.

Analysts noted that the Russian military has militarized the nuclear facility, although the nuclear power plant is far from the front line and will not be subject to imminent attacks by the Armed Forces.

Russia blames Ukrainian forces for the attacks on the nuclear plant, but has not yet provided reliable evidence for this: "Although the Russian Federation controls the territory and can provide more convincing evidence much easier than Ukraine."

As UNIAN wrote, as a result of the actions of the occupiers, for the first time in history, the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant was completely disconnected from the power grid. After some time, the Zaporizhzhya NPP restored the connection with the Ukrainian overhead line PL - 750 kV "Dniprovska". All six units remained disconnected from the network after the power line was restored.

Russia has been controlling the ZANP since March 4. The occupiers repeatedly shelled the territory of the station and damaged a number of objects. Ukraine asked for help from the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the EU and more than 40 countries of the world called on Russia to immediately withdraw troops and personnel.

The UN is ready to support the trip of the IAEA mission to the nuclear power plant, if both Ukraine and the Russian Federation approve it at the same time.

After meeting with the UN Secretary General, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that the mission can quickly and safely get to the station legally through the free territory of Ukraine.
