Nikopol was set on fire twice overnight: an investigation has been launched (photo)

On August 18, around two and four o'clock in the morning, the Hordes shelled the city of Nikopol with barrel artillery. The enemy was attacking from the side of Energodar. It is known about one victim woman. This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, as reported by the Informator.

According to the investigation, on the night of August 18, 2022, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out artillery fire from rocket salvo systems on residential areas of Nikopol. As a result of enemy shelling, a woman was injured and was hospitalized. Private houses and commercial buildings, a gas pipeline, a school, administrative premises and a temple were damaged.

Under the procedural leadership of the Nikopol district prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Prosecutors, police investigators, and experts are working at the scene. There are no military facilities on these territories. If you witnessed a war crime of the Russian Federation, record and send evidence.
