In Nikopol, nighttime Russian shelling caused four fires: details from the prosecutor's office

The prosecutor's office showed a photo after today's raZZian shelling of Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih. According to the investigation, on the night of September 16, the occupiers launched an artillery barrage from an anti-aircraft missile system on Nikopol. A local resident was injured. There is a lot of destruction in the city. The shelling caused four fires. Firefighters have already tamed the flames. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office in the Dnipro region.

As a result of enemy shelling, private and multi-story residential buildings, a lyceum building, a kindergarten, a social service center, local businesses, a cultural and entertainment center, power lines, and a gas pipeline were damaged. The enemy hit the Chervonogrihorivska community with artillery. High-rise residential buildings, a shop, and a car suffered significant damage.

Also, on September 15, the Russian military shelled Velika Kostromka in the Kryvorizka district with barrel artillery. Private homes were damaged. Prosecutors, police investigators, and experts are working at the scene. There are no military facilities in this area.

A local resident was injured in the Apostolivska community. The man put the found cluster ammunition in the trunk of the car, which detonated. As a result of the explosion, the man received shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized.

In addition, on the afternoon of September 15, 2022, the occupiers launched rocket attacks on Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the shelling, an industrial enterprise and objects of hydraulic infrastructure were damaged. There are no casualties among the civilian population.

Under the procedural leadership of the Kryvorizka Central, Kryvorizka South, Kryvorizka East and Nikopol District Prosecutors' Offices, a pre-trial investigation was started in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In Nikopol, pyrotechnics destroyed the warhead of a Russian kamikaze drone

On September 15, pyrotechnicians from the Dnipropetrovsk region participated in the destruction of explosive objects three times a day. In total, 37 modern and 7 obsolete ammunition were destroyed, as well as the combat part of the enemy kamikaze drone. This was reported in the press service of the main department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipro region.

Outside the village of Velika Kostromka, Kryvorizka district, 37 modern cluster munitions were discovered. In Nikopol, after an enemy attack, the combat part of a kamikaze drone was found in an open area.

In Dnipro, during earthworks on the territory of a private home, a man discovered a metal box inside which there were 7 obsolete 50 mm mortar mines. Hazardous items were destroyed by controlled detonation.
