Grain from Ukraine. Zelensky: We found a way out. Final solution coming soon

— There can be no difficulties between such close partners, true friends as Poland and Ukraine – said Volodymyr Zelensky, referring to the issue of Ukrainian grain, which instead of, among others, grains to Africa “spreads” over Poland. As he explained, he and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki “discussed matters concerning farmers” from both countries and “found a way out”.

On Wednesday morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with President Andrzej Duda, and then with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

— We discussed matters concerning our farmers – Ukrainian farmers and Polish farmers. We have found a way out

– he announced after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Poland.

In his opinion, “In the coming days and weeks, there will be a final solution to all matters.” — Problems cannot arise, there can be no difficulties between such close partners, true friends as Poland and Ukraine – stressed the President of Ukraine.

President Andrzej Duda, in turn, emphasized that “despite the war, Poland's and Ukraine's trade turnover is record-breaking.

Grain price conflict. Resignation of the Minister of Agriculture Henryk Kowalczyk

Falling grain prices in Poland sparked farmers' protests. According to them, the situation is to blame for the uncontrolled inflow of grain from Ukraine to our market after the outbreak of the war. A few days ago, an agreement was concluded – the government promised the protesting farmers actions to stop the flow of cheap grain from Ukraine to the Polish market.

However, the conflict between the authorities and representatives of the village was still growing and led to the fact that on Wednesday Henryk Kowalczyk resigned from the position of the minister of agriculture.

At a press conference on Wednesday, the politician explained that his decision was because “the basic demand of farmers will not be met by the European Commission.” The successor of Henryk Kowalczyk is to be Robert Telus.
