During the past day, the surrounding areas of Nikopol became the target of three attacks by the invaders
June 9. Russian occupiers shelled the Nikopol district three times during the day. As a result of the shelling, Nikopol, Marganets and Myrivka communities were affected. Mykola Lukashuk, head of the DOR, informs about this.
As a result of the attack on Nikopol, one enterprise, 7 private residential buildings, 3 utility buildings and 4 power lines were damaged. In addition, the occupiers shelled the Marganets and Myriv communities with heavy artillery. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of these events.
Earlier, we reported on the difficult situation with water supply in Nikopol and its district. In this regard, law enforcement agencies organized the delivery of drinking water to the residents of Pokrov, who cannot pick it up at the dispensing points on their own.
In the Nikopol district, the organization of water delivery to towns and villages that have suffered a loss of water supply due to a decrease in the volume of the Kakhovsky reservoir has begun. This applies to almost the entire district, with the exception of Nikopol and Pershotravnevska hromada, where water is supplied according to the schedule. This was announced by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Water Management and Reclamation Organization, Serhiy Lysak.
Tanks with drinking and technical water are arriving at the damaged areas. Places where people can get it have been identified. For example, there are 10 such places in the Marganets community, and 7 in Pokrov. The number of such points will increase.
International partners are sending water bottles, water storage containers, disinfectants and hygiene kits. The purchase of pumps is also planned. As for the Kryvorizka district, the local water supply works as usual and has a sufficient supply of water. However, in some places, water supply is carried out according to the schedule.
One person needs at least 2 liters of drinking water and 4 liters of technical water per day. Providing almost the entire district is a colossal job. We carefully think through the logistics, conduct negotiations and involve everyone who can help. Our goal is to provide water to all residents, - noted Serhiy Lysak.
