"The decision of the International Criminal Court to order the arrest of Vladimir Putin marks the collapse of the rule of law," former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev wrote on social media, referring to the arrest warrant issued on Friday for the Russian leader. "One can imagine the use of hypersonic Onyx for the Hague court. Citizen judges, look carefully at the sky..." - he warned.

"The final collapse of the system of international law. Let's face it: it wasn't particularly effective before. Especially its international institutions. The League of Nations collapsed, the USSR considered leaving the UN, conventions and other international acts are hardly adopted today, there is complete partiality and diktat group of Anglo-Saxon states," Dmitry Medvedev said in a Telegram post.

According to him, the main flaw of the international law system is its inefficiency. "The states do not want to comply with the partisan acts of the UN General Assembly, they want to veto the decisions of the UN Security Council, they want to leave various UN institutions. The reason is their injustice, which is based on the inadmissibility of coercion by a group of sovereign states against such sovereign states," Medvedev wrote.

"By the way, the most compromised episode that killed the court's near-zero credibility was related to US crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq," he added.

"The ICC judges get hot for nothing. Look, we're brave, we won't shit our pants in front of the greatest nuclear power. Unfortunately, gentlemen, everyone walks under God and rockets. You can imagine using the North Sea hypersonic Onyx from a Russian ship to the Hague courthouse. It can't be shot down, unfortunately. And the courthouse is just a wretched international organization, not the people of a NATO country. So they won't start wars either. They're afraid. And no one will be sorry. So, citizens judges, look carefully at the sky..." - he concluded the post.

Arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin

The International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin on Friday. The leader of Russia has been accused of being responsible for war crimes in Ukraine.

The judges found Vladimir Putin guilty of war crimes involving the unlawful deportation of people - including children - and the illegal transfer of people - including children - from the occupied areas of Ukraine to Russia.

"There are reasonable grounds to believe that Vladimir Putin bears individual criminal responsibility for the above-mentioned crimes, committed directly, jointly with other persons and/or through other persons," reads the justification of the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
