Consequences of shelling of private residential buildings in Nikopol by the Russian army on the night of July 22

The Russians continue their terrorist attacks on Nikopol, hiding at the nuclear power plant. Tonight, the enemy shelled Nikopol twice from the side of occupied Energodar. It hit the residential quarters: shells from the anti-aircraft missile system flew into the houses, yards, and gardens of the people of Nikopol; property was destroyed: cars, farm buildings.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a 60-year-old woman died as a result of shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region. A private house and 3 outbuildings were completely destroyed, 54 private houses and 33 outbuildings were damaged. 3 cars and 6 solar panels were broken. There is also destruction on the territory of two local institutions.

City journalists saw the consequences of shelling on one of the streets of the private sector of Nikopol and visited the yards of some Nikopol residents whose buildings were damaged.

"We were out of town. In the morning, the relevant services called us and informed us that there was a shell in our garden. Household buildings, a toilet on the street were damaged... We have already cleaned the place of the hit," shares the resident of the first house we got to. According to her, they were lucky that the consequences were not so devastating.

As a result of two projectiles, the house, yard and property of the people of Nikopol, who live near the previous house, suffered significant damage. Part of one house, which was lined with plastic, burned out.

"When the "arrival" happened, we ran out of the windows, because we were sleeping at home at that time..." - says the affected housewife, showing the consequences of the shelling.

The second projectile hit a two-story private house in the same yard.

In addition to their houses, the victims of Nikopol lost their cars - they burned completely. "These were our cars... We have not yet realized everything that happened to us..." - says a resident of Nikopol.

Since July 12, the Russian army has been regularly shelling Nikopol from the Grad anti-aircraft missile defense system from the opposite bank - in March, the invaders occupied Energodar, the ZNPP and populated areas of the Zaporizhzhia region.
