A woman died and five more people were injured due to enemy shelling in Nikopol and the district: an investigation has been launched

On the evening of August 28 and on the night of August 29, the troops of the aggressor countries shelled the Nikopol district. A woman died in Nikopol, five more people were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Dnipro regional prosecutor's office.

The Russian military shelled Nikopol's barrel artillery. As a result of enemy shelling, a woman died, five civilians were injured. Private homes and power lines were damaged.

As a result of the shelling of the Chervonogrihorivska community, private houses, farm buildings, cars, a church building, a gas pipeline, and power lines suffered significant damage. There are no casualties among the civilian population.

Under the procedural leadership of the Nikopol district prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors, police investigators, and experts are working at the scene. There are no military facilities in this area.

Earlier it was reported that the IAEA mission arrived in Kyiv before the trip to the Zaporizhzhya NPP. And also about the fact that Russia is deliberately shelling the corridors through which the IAEA mission should reach the ZNPP. Also, in Nikopol, repair works of power grids damaged by Russian missiles are ongoing.
