A night with four shellings of populated areas of the Dnipro region: details from the prosecutor's office

On the night of August 23, regular shelling of populated areas of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast took place. There are dead and wounded. According to these facts, an investigation has been started. This was reported by the press service of the Dnipro regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, on the night of August 23, 2022, the Russian military carried out artillery fire from rocket salvo systems on the Margantsi residential quarter. As a result, two women were injured, one of them was hospitalized. Residential buildings, farm buildings and the water supply network were damaged. The occupiers also shelled the town of Chervonogrigorivka, damaging private houses, citizens' cars, and power lines.

In addition, on August 22, 2022, the village of Maryanske of the Kryvorizka district came under enemy fire. One woman died, two more local residents were injured. Private houses were damaged.

Prosecutors, police investigators, and experts are working at the scene. There are no military facilities on these territories.

Under the procedural leadership of the Nikopol and Kryvorizka Eastern District Prosecutor's Offices, pre-trial investigations are carried out in criminal proceedings based on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
