A fleet of drones flies to Ukraine. They will support Leopards and Abrams

The creator of the Bayraktar TB2 drone, the Turkish company Baykar Makina, announced that as part of its support, it is sending advanced drones to Ukraine that will help soldiers fight the Russian aggressor. Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones played a huge role at the front in the first months of the war in Ukraine. Despite this fact, the Russians managed to destroy a lot of these machines. In the meantime, thanks to international collections, dozens of new UAVs were sent to Ukraine.

Now, the company Baykar Makina has announced that it wants to contribute to the final defeat of the Russian occupier in Ukraine. Over the next few weeks, several new Bayraktar TB2 drones are to appear on the frontline. However, two pieces will be a gift from a Turkish company. All drones are to support the Leopard and Abrams tanks that will be sent to Ukraine by NATO countries in the next 2 months.

Bayraktara TB2 drones caused a sensation in Ukraine

Bayraktars TB2 help the Ukrainian army in enemy observation and reconnaissance missions in the east of the country. Thanks to these machines, it was possible to eliminate many occupant troops and destroy countless equipment.

The Bayraktar TB2 is a MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) class drone. It is made of carbon composites and aluminum. The machine is 6.5 meters long and has a wingspan of 12 meters. The drone can fly at a maximum speed of 130 km/h, climb to 8,200 meters and stay in the air for 27 hours.

There are two types of weapons on board, MAM-L gliding anti-tank missiles with a range of up to 8 kilometers and MAM-C with universal warheads that are able to penetrate up to 200 mm of RHA steel and hit targets with shrapnel up to 20 meters from the point of impact.

Production of the new Bayractar TB3 drone in Turkey

Interestingly, Baykar Makina will soon start producing a much more advanced drone called TB3. The machines are to be slightly larger than their predecessor, because we are talking about a length of 8.35 meters and a 14-meter wingspan (it was 6.5 and 12 meters respectively) and fly even faster with a cruising speed of 232 km / h and a maximum speed of 300 km / h (there were 130 and 220 km/h).

The TB3s will have even more diverse armament, foldable wings and the ability to take off and land from aircraft carriers with short runways. The new drone will appear on board the Turkish aircraft carrier TCG Anadolu, depending on the configuration, it will fit from 50 to 110 Bayraktar TB3.
