26 dead, 42 injured: Mykola Lukashuk told how the week passed in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

This week was one of the most difficult for Dnipro Oblast during the entire period of the Russian Federation's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. On Sunday, 26 people died from enemy shelling, and another 42 residents of the region were injured. This became known from the press service of the Dnipro Regional State Administration.

Since the beginning of the week, the air warning signal has been activated thirty times in the Dnipropetrovsk region. During the week, 4 districts of the Dnipro Region came under shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation: Nikopol, Synelnyk, Kryvoriz and Dnipro.

More than a dozen of our settlements were attacked. The enemy fired about three dozen shots from barrel artillery, Grads and Hurricanes. During the week, 42 ​​people were injured in the region, 31 people were injured during the attack in Chaplyny, 25 people died. So far, search operations in Chaplyny have been completed. The process of resuming train traffic is ongoing.

Since the beginning of the week, the number of internally displaced persons in the Dnipro Oblast has decreased by 2,000 citizens. Currently, 315,500 displaced people live in the region.

"I would like to remind you about the action of the Government social program "Shelter", within the framework of which displaced persons can find housing. And citizens who sheltered internally displaced persons can receive compensation from the state," said Mykola Lukashuk.

As of today, there are 2,704 free places within the initiative in the region. According to this indicator, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast ranks second among the regions of Ukraine. Most of the communities of Dnipropetrovsk region have introduced distance education in schools. Some territories have not yet decided whether the training will be completely distance learning or in a blended form.

Dnipropetrovsk is preparing for the heating season. This is one of the main tasks. It is known that local budgets will receive 14 billion hryvnias to ensure the sustainable passage of the heating period of 2022/2023. The decision on exactly how much will be transferred to the communities of Dnipro Oblast is still awaited.

While shelling Nikopol and the district, the occupiers took cover with the ZPP and the houses of residents of Vodyanyi and Kamianka

At night, the Russian military covered the Nikopol district with fire. The ZNPP and the houses of residents of Vodyanyi and Kamianka were used as cover. A total of five attacks were carried out with MLRS and barrel artillery, about 35 rounds of ammunition. This was announced by the head of the Nikopol district military administration.

At night, the territory of one of the villages of the Marganets community will be shelled. There are no injured or dead. Due to enemy shelling in Nikopol, a school, a rest house, about ten houses and outbuildings, and power lines were damaged. There are no injured or dead.
